Creación final del proyecto: Rhapsody of Queen

Objetivos:
-          The project aims at making students familiar with the songs of Queen, their inspirations and the social and cultural background of the times when they were created.
-          Introduce themselves (their school, their country) to teenagers living in a foreign country
-          Express themselves accurately
-          Interact and make friends from different countries
-          Be aware fo cultural differences and respect them
-          Practice and use English effectively
-          Develop reading and writing skills
-          Analyse song lyrics
-          Write their own texts
-          Study a part of British culture
-          Use new technology to create their own group project
-          Cooperate to compare what reflection the Queen band had in their own countries in the 60s and 70s
Productos:
-          Blog “Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody” where students will upload all their works.
-          Students create a slide presentation (Power point, Prezi, Genially, Google Slides,…) using quotes, pictures, soundtracks  to show the influence of Queen in their country those days
-          Students will record a video of the song they have analysed.

Metodologías y procesos de trabajo

The work process will start at the beginning of April:

1.  Partner schools and students will get to know each other by making introductory videos or photos introducing themselves  that will be uploaded  on twinspace

2.  Teachers will obtain the lyrıcs and soundtracks of  some of Queen songs and they will distribute them to the different cooperative groups of the countries involved.


3.  Students take the lyrics of the song and think about the plot of the song. Then they will write a paragraph which shows the meaning and the influence of the song in their countries. They will upload the paragraph with a photo in the blog.

4. After finishing their writings, they will look for different materials (photos of the band, photos of some concert in their country, wallpapers,  soundtracks, videos, film trailers,  lyrics, quotes, sheet music…)  about the song they are analysing and they will make a slideshow showing:
- The plot of the song
- The meaning of the lyrics
- The tips on British culture
- The influence on their own countries
- The influence all over the world

5.  After working cooperatively to make the slideshow, they will upload it on the twinspace and on the blog.

6.  After all slideshows are uploaded on twinspace, teachers from partner schools will come together on Skype and share their evaluations and choose the most creative one.

7.  Finally, each country will translate the song they have analised into their own language and sing half of the song in their native language and half in another language (one of the partners’ languages involved in the Project).  Then a videoclip will be recorded and all the videos will be uploaded on the twinspace and the blog.

Actividades principales y tipos de herramientas previstas

-          Blog where students will upload all their works (Blogger).
-          Slide presentation (Power Point, Prezi, Genially, Google Slides…)
             Description of the activity: Title of the song; type: international; objectives: show         
             all the research work, writing the results and share them with the other groups; Tools: PPT, Prezi, Genially….)
-          Videoclip of the song (Imovie, Movavi, Videvo…).

Evaluación, seguimiento y difusión

Finally the partner countries will come together using one of communication tools and evaluate the outcomes of the project and make a report and a survey will be applied to the students to get their evaluations.
The videoclips will be uploaded on the twinspace to be shared with all the etwinners.

TWINSPACE: ABP (Aprendizaje basado en proyectos)

Me parece un espacio muy interesante para poder compartir ideas, comentarios y opiniones sobre los diferentes proyectos realizados. En mi opinión, poder compartir ideas y proyectos con profesores y alumnos de diferentes países puede abrir nuestro horizonte cultural y puede ser un puente para que nuestros alumnos puedan encontrar la motivación para responsabilizarse de su propio aprendizaje.

He elegido el proyecto "Photography as a pedagogical tool" ya que pienso el análisis de la realidad en la que vivimos a través de la fotografía puede ser un tema altamente motivador para los adolescentes participantes en el proyecto.  El hecho de salir a la calle a fotografiar su realidad y compartirla con alumnos de diferentes países puede ayudarles a mejorar su capacidad comunicativa y ampliar su conocimiento en lo que se refiere a la utilización de herramientas TIC.
En la fotografía "nada es lo que parece" y el estudio de las imágenes va a permitir  el análisis de la realidad desde diferentes puntos de vista tanto personales como interculturales ya que los participantes van a poder compartir su visión de la realidad con alumnos de otros países, dándose cuenta de que la misma imagen tiene multitud de significados dependiendo de quién se encuentra detrás del objetivo de la cámara.
